  • Jockey Orlando Mojica celebrated his best Oaklawn meet in 2020, finishing seventh in the jockey standings. He teamed up with leading trainer Robertino Diodoro to win three stakes victories. He was aboard Pioneer Spirit for the Second Division of the Fifth Season, Special Relativity in the American Beauty, and Sky Promise in the Temperence Hill.
  • Riding at Oaklawn for the first time since 2010, Mojica won 28 races in 2019 to finish third in the standings. The meet was highlighted by a victory aboard Chocolate Kisses in the $200,000 Honeybee Stakes (G3) for 3-year-old fillies.
  • Recorded career highs for victories (249) and purse earnings ($4,222,636) in 2009, figures that ranked 10th and 52nd, respectively, nationally.
  • Won three stakes races – all for trainer Mac Robertson – Aug. 10, 2019, at Canterbury Park. Canterbury’s second-leading rider in 2019.
  • Has more than 2,000 victories and $40 million in purse earnings since he began riding in 2000. Leading rider at Hoosier Park, Indiana Downs, and Ellis Park.
  • Hails from a Puerto Rican racing family. Mojica’s father, Rafael Mojica Sr., was a jockey in Puerto Rico and older brother Rafael Mojica Jr. has more than 1,000 career riding victories in the United States.
