Live Racing Protocols
In accordance with the guidelines set forth by the Arkansas Department of Health, Oaklawn has submitted a plan to allow a limited number of spectators at the races during the 2021 live race meet highlighted by the following:
- Guests are required to wear masks at all times.
- Team members wear masks at all times.
- Social distancing will be enforced.
- Shuttle service will continue with limitations on the number of guests per shuttle.
- Smoking is not allowed anywhere inside the facility, including the casino.
- General admission into the Grandstand will not be allowed initially in 2021.
- Entrance into the Grandstand will strictly be for guests with an owner or trainer's racing license and/or reservation for that day’s races. Doors will open at 11 am.
- Current seasonal box seat holders and current Oaklawn Jockey Club members may enter the Grandstand with weekly reservations required. Detailed correspondence to be sent separately to these individuals.
- Restaurants inside the Grandstand, following Arkansas Department of Health directives, will be open to the public with weekly reservations required.
- Simulcast will be open Wednesday–Sunday, 11 am–8 pm to limited capacity with weekly reservations required.
Restaurant and simulcast reservations may be made starting at 9 am every Monday by calling 501-363-4660.
Casino Protocols
- Casino hours are 9 am to 5 am every day. Bars and Silks close at 10 pm nightly.
- Guests are limited to every other slot machine to ensure social distancing.
- Live blackjack games are limited to every other seat and no more than three players per table.
- Live craps are limited to three players per side of each table.
- Live roulette is not open at this time.
- Smoking is not allowed anywhere inside the facility, including the casino.
Cleaning and Sanitizing Protocols
Oaklawn continues to meet and exceed CDC and local/state health guidelines for cleaning and sanitizing protocols:
- The facility has undergone a series of deep cleanings in all areas.
- Oaklawn has increased the frequency of cleaning all public areas during the day.
- The Casino and Grandstand are electrostatically disinfected nightly when we are closed.
- Oaklawn has added additional hand sanitizing stations in all public and office areas.
- Has prominently displayed signage regarding social distancing, health, and hygiene for guests and team members throughout the property, porte cochère, shuttles and waiting areas.
- All team members receive training on Covid-19 safety and sanitation protocols.
Restaurant Protocols
The Track Kitchen, Carousel, Post Parade, Sports Tavern, Oaklawn Jockey Club, Bugler, Silks, and Bistro 2705 are open with the following guidelines:
- The Track Kitchen is open 6:30 am to 2 pm Monday - Wednesday and 6:30 am - 30 minutes before the last race Thursday - Sunday.
- The Bugler is open Wed-Sun, 4-10 pm, and live race days for lunch 12-5 pm.
- The First Turn patio bar is open on live race days 11 am-10 pm.
- Silks is open 11 am to 10 pm daily.
- Bistro 2705 is open 9 am to 4 am daily.
- The Carousel, Post Parade, Sports Tavern, and Oaklawn Jockey Club are only open on race days (Thurs-Sun and Presidents Day Monday)
- Guests and team members are required to wear masks.
- Social distancing, with extra spacing between tables and seating limitations of ten (10) or less per party, will be enforced.
- Menus are disposable for one-time usage.
- Condiments are in single-use packets.
