The 5th Season Open is a series of multi-table poker tournaments over a span of 10 weeks, where the top two finishers in each tournament qualify for a final championship tournament in March. The final tournament will have a $10,000 guaranteed prize pool. 

Tournament Dates:

Mondays and Wednesdays at 7 p.m. from Monday, January 16^th to Wednesday, March 21^st.

The qualifying tournament scheduled for Monday, February 20^th will be held on Tuesday, February 21^st at 7 p.m.

The Championship Tournament will be held on March 28^th at 6 p.m. 

The Qualifying Tournaments will be structured as follows:

• Oaklawn will run a qualifying tournament with a maximum of 60 (based on table availability) and a minimum of 20 players.
• The buy-in amount is $50 ($40+$10). No re-buys. Sign-ups for each tournament will only be taken on the day of each tournament.  Tournament registration opens at 5:30 pm for players who are playing in our live games.  Registration for any remaining tournament seats begins at 6:00 pm at the poker podium.
• Oaklawn will allow alternates to play in any seats that become available during the first hour of play.
• Qualifying tournament participants will receive $3,000 in chips to use for play in the tournament.  Seat assignments will be determined by the PokerPro system.
• Prize payouts are guaranteed based on 30 players and are as follows (% of Nightly Prize Pool):

The Championship Tournament will be structured as follows:

• For each qualifying tournament, 65% of the Tournament Cash Pool will be paid nightly, while the remaining 35% will be carried over for the Final Tournament.
• The top two finishers in each qualifying tournament will be invited to the Championship Tournament.  Each qualifying player will be contacted prior to the day of the finals to confirm that they will be available to play in the Championship Tournament.  If a player can not participate in the finals, Oaklawn will use the point standings to fill each vacant seat.
• The 5^th Season Open features a points-based system for filling out the remaining Championship Tournament field.  The top 10 finishers in points who have not automatically qualified will be invited to play in the Championship Tournament.  Point standings will be posted on a weekly basis.  Any alternates will be selected based on points accrued.  Alternates will not be contacted by Oaklawn concerning vacancies, and are responsible for being present at tournament time to check on seat availability.
• On the day of the tournament, players need to check-in at the poker podium prior to the start of the tournament.  Each player will have a seat assignment determined by the PokerPro system.
• Tournament participants will receive $10,000 in chips to use for play in the tournament.
• Prize money payout for the tournament will be paid for the 1^st through 5^th place finishers.  See the payout table above for payout percentages.

Oaklawn’s PokerPro system clock will be the official timekeeper.  The Poker Host will notify all players of breaks and table changes when necessary.

Oaklawn will not facilitate chopping the pot between players and the tournament must be concluded with a champion before prize payouts are made.

By making the Final Table in the Championship Tournament, players are consenting to allow Oaklawn to use their names, pictures and likeness in any media release concerning the 5^th Season Open.

Oaklawn Poker Management reserves the right to make changes to this promotion at any time.  All decisions by Oaklawn Poker Management are final.
