Hall’s Family Trust’s Texas Bling, most recently fourth in the Rebel Stakes (G2), continued down the path toward his ultimate goal of the Arkansas Derby (G1) April 13 with a five furlong workout in 1:01 3/5 Wednesday over a fast track. Three-time Kentucky Derby winning jockey Calvin Borel, aboard for the work, will replace jockey Cliff Berry in the Arkansas Derby. Read More

Trainer John Terranova is gathering the owners of Sam Davis Stakes-winner Falling Sky in Louisville, Kentucky, this weekend to make a final decision on whether to run next in the $1 million Arkansas Derby (G1) at Oaklawn April 13 or the $750,000 Blue Grass Stakes (G1) at Keeneland the same day. Regardless of that call, Terranova is planning his first-ever trip to Hot Springs to saddle Manuka Honey in Wednesday’s $400,000 Fantasy Stakes (G3) for 3-year-old fillies. Read More

Honeybee Stakes (G3) winner Rose to Gold leads a group of seven 3-year-old fillies entered for Wednesday’s $400,000 Fantasy Stakes (G3), the kick off to the Racing Festival of the South. The multiple stakes winner drew post three and will once again be ridden by jockey Calvin Borel. Read More

Trainer Todd Pletcher is no stranger to Arkansas Derby (G1) success and he’s hoping Mike Repole’s Overanalyze is the right horse to bring him back to the winner’s circle in Oaklawn’s marquee race April 13. Pletcher won back-to-back runnings in 2000 and 2001 with Graeme Hall and Balto Star, respectively and finished second in 2010 with Super Saver, who went on to become his first and only Kentucky Derby winner to date.
