Oaklawn News

Hot Springs, Ark. (Wednesday, March 16, 2016) – Oaklawn now ensures that horse racing fans never miss a beat with the release of their streaming webcam. Positioned atop the press box, the live-24/7 “TrackCam” features high-definition views of the Thoroughbreds galloping through the stretch towards the finish line. The shot also includes an alluring scene of the iconic Hot Springs skyline.

Oaklawn has partnered with KATV/Channel 7 to help bring the excitement and beauty offered by the webcam to a wider audience. The station will feature a glimpse of the webcam throughout their daily broadcasts. Additionally, the webcam will serve as a live shot of the area’s current weather conditions.

Visit Hot Springs CEO, Steve Arrison, was involved in the implementation and couldn’t be more thrilled over the advancement in his community.

“The live video shot from Oaklawn’s web camera that is shown every evening on the local news on KATV, Channel 7, is a daily affirmation of what a beautiful place Hot Springs is,” said Arrison. “Hundreds of thousands of KATV viewers are treated to a panoramic view of the beautiful Oaklawn facility with the scenic Ouachita Mountains that surround our city in the background. All of us who live and work in Hot Springs are grateful that Oaklawn provides this live color postcard that reminds viewers every day why Hot Springs and Oaklawn are Arkansas’s No. 1 tourism destination.”
