Hot Springs, Ark. (Tuesday, June 16, 2015) – Oaklawn will start July off with a blast (literally) at its Spa Blast presented by Budweiser July 3 and close out the month with a concert by KC and the Sunshine Band, who have been entertaining audiences for four decades with their infectious, feel good happy music. Plus, there will be plenty of opportunities to win big throughout the entire month.

The 24th annual Spa Blast, voted one of the top summer festivals in Arkansas, will take place in Oaklawn’s Infield July 3 beginning at 4 p.m. and culminate at dark with one of the region’s best fireworks display. This family-friendly event is free and will also include live music, petting zoo, misting zone, Mid America Science Museum exhibit and gigantic Kids Zone. Lawn chairs will be welcome, but no coolers will be allowed.

The popular Finish Line Theater series continues July 24 with KC and the Sunshine Band. Founded in 1973 in Hialeah, Fla., KC and the Sunshine Band have been thrilling fans for generations with their style that has included funk, R&B and disco. Their most well-known songs include the disco hits “That's the Way (I Like It),” “(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty,” “I'm Your Boogie Man,” “Keep It Comin' Love,” “Get Down Tonight,” “Boogie Shoes,” “Give It Up” and “Please Don't Go.” Tickets go on sale July 13 and will be $40 and $55.

Every Thursday in July, guests will have a chance to play for $100,000 during the Tri Lakes Treasure Hunt from 6 – 10 p.m. with winners every 15 minutes. All month long, patrons can earn valuable entries into the $250,000 Secret Agent Showdown Sept. 6. Players can earn up to 30 entries each week.

Guests will have all summer to qualify for the $1 million TournEvent in August during the Summer of Champions Reel Tournaments. There will be $1,500 qualifying rounds every Sunday at 2 p.m. and every Tuesday at 6 p.m. Players can only qualify for the Final once, but can keep playing each week for prize money.

Horseplayers will have one more chance to qualify for the $10,000 Handicapping Championship Final July 11. The entry fee is $50 and the contest will take place in the Carousel Restaurant starting at 11 a.m. The top five finishers will receive prize money and the top three finishers will earn a free entry into the final Aug. 8 and 9.
