Known as the artist who "bridged the gap," Warwick's soulful blend of pop, gospel and R&B music transcended race, culture and musical boundaries when she first hit the music scene in the 1960s. Now, celebrating 50 years in the music industry, the five-time Grammy Award winner has had countless hits. Among her most recognizable songs are “Do You Know the Way to San Jose?,” “Walk on By,” “Anyone Who Had a Heart,” “Promises Promises,” “Alfie,” “Say a Little Prayer” and of course, “That’s What Friends are For,” which she recorded with longtime friends Gladys Knight, Elton John and Stevie Wonder.
Concert is on September 12 at 7 p.m.
